At The Party Goat, we specialize in helping you make amazing memories on the waters of Austin, Texas. Austin is famous for its lakes, and no trip here is complete without spending time on the local waters. Read on to find out more about The Party Goat and find out more about our journey.

Although we have always had a highly entrepreneurial spirit, we have only ever believed in making a living from doing things that we love. Our company founder Drew grew up on the lakes of Texas and created some of their most magical childhood memories there. They soon decided they would like to own their very own boat rental company in the near future.

The birth of The Party Goat

By March 2020, Drew had saved enough cash for a 2-month vacation, planning to backpack through Thailand and the surrounding areas. However, the world then went into lockdown. Drew used the money he was going to spend on travel on a boat. He had been spending time with his girlfriend and sister in this era and had recently purchased a little goat named Peanut for his girlfriend’s birthday. Once the boat and goat were acquired, a company name was required. The name had to be something truly fun and distinctive whilst showing the company’s fun values and reflecting Austin’s quirky reputation. After suggestions like Boat Goat and Party Boat were quickly discarded with, Drew’s aunt Laurie came up with The Party Goat – a name that not only rhymes with ‘boat’ but also means ‘the greatest of all time’.

BOAT RENTALS

We provide captained boat charters on Lake Austin. Each boat has a large cooler, a lily pad, gas, lifejackets (excluding children's) a Bimini for shading, and a bluetooth stereo system, charters Monday-Thursday have a 3 hour minimum and charters Friday-Sunday have a 4 hour minimum at $175 an hour with an automatic 20% gratuity added to the cost for the captain.

Charters start with a 15 to 20 minute boat ride (longer if requested) before heading to party cove near 360 bridge where we then tie up and or anchor before rolling out the lily pad to swim/party.
